If you make a purchase on our website then we will take your name, address, email address, and telephone number. Payment card details are handled securely by our payment processor – we have no access to your payment card details in this case. We do not collect your IP address when browsing, but our payment processor may do so if you make a purchase. We do not have access to this information.
Where a purchase has been carried out over the telephone, we will take your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and payment card details. Once your purchase has been processed and is complete, we will then securely destroy your card details immediately. We will retain your contact information and order details. However, we will not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.
How do we use your personal information?
We use personal information to improve or services, provide support, communicate with you, and to process orders. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address or other details to help you with your experience.
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
– Communicate with you;
– Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
– When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, communicate to you information or advertising relating to our products or services, or technical support.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We may share your Personal Information with payment processors for example Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, etc. for the processing of payments to Brian Hill Fine Art.

These acts give you a number of rights in law which we will not repeat in detail here, but in summary you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, the right to be removed from our marketing, and the right to be forgotten.
Note that GDPR is EU legislation which is expected to be retained by the UK after it leaves the EU, and the Data Protection Act 1998 will be replaced by the Data Protection Act 2018.
